Doug & Rex Wright plan to attend the Kruse Spring Auction in
Auburn, Indiana. The Bedford Auto Museum is selling it's
entire inventory, including the USAC Midget which carried Doug
Wright from '88 - '92, including the runner up title in the '90
and '91 AAMS Midget Championship.

Comcast has tabbed Doug Wright as the color analyst for their
telecast of the 51st running of the Purdue Grand Prix. The
telecast will air on all Comcast networks throughout April and
May.

Heavy rains flooded the famed Bonneville Salt Flats, forcing
cancellation of the "Bonneville World Finals". This was the
final meet for 2006, so the Wright Racing challenge for the C/GALT
land speed record will be placed on hold until 2007.

The Wright Racing shop announces data acquisition capabilities for
automotive performance testing and development. The new
system will be initially utilized on the Bonneville Salt Flat
racing machine in October.

The Wright Racing staff makes plans to attend the NSRA Street Rod
Nationals in Lousville, KY.

Brandon Wagner wins his first USAC Midget race in a car prepared by Doug Wright Racing & Promotions.
Wagner won "Ryan Newman Night" at South Bend Motor Speedway on
Wednesday evening, June 14. NASCAR star Newman, who hails
from South Bend, returned to his roots, racing the open wheel
midgets on his home track. Newman qualifed 4th and finished
9th in the evening's events. Brandon Wagner beat Ganassi
development driver Bryan Clauson and Night Before the 500 winner,
Bobby Santos, to capture the win.
June, 2006
Watch cars prepared by Doug Wright Racing & Promotions on June
3rd, at 5pm (EST), on The Outdoor Channel. The Wagner Racing
Team USAC Midgets, prepared by DWRPI, will have a tape delayed
airing of the "Night Before The 500" race, where team driver
Michael Lewis finished 4th. Lewis carried an "in-car" camera
during the race.
May, 2006
Testing and racing begins for the 2006 midget racing season.
Lucas Oil Products announces a partnership with Wagner Racing for
the 2006 racing season. Drivers Brandon and Nick Wagner will
drive the Lucas Oil - Wagner Racing midgets, car number 92 and 93
on the USAC tour. The cars will be prepared and maintained
by the Doug Wright Racing staff. Midget star Michael Lewis
will drive for Wagner Racing in select USAC National Championship
events.
April, 2006
DWRPI has re-signed with Wagner Racing for 2006, providing turnkey
race preparation services, along with consultant and managerial
services. Drivers Nick and Brandon Wagner will compete in
the USAC Midget division, sporting new Beast cars, powered by
Esslinger Ford engines.

The SEMA Spring Expo and Off Road Expo will be held at the Indiana
Convention Center, adjacent to the RCA Dome in Indianapolis. Wright Racing's staff
will attend the show and support events.
February, 2006
Indianapolis will host the 2006 Hot Rod & Restoration Trade Show
at the city's Convention Center. Wright Racing will be in
attendance, participating in the show and educational seminars.

The Wright Racing staff attends the Indy Hot Rod Swap Meet at the
Indiana State Fairgrounds.
December, 2005
Wright Racing agrees to build a blown Ford flathead engine for a
new customer. The engine will be placed in a 1929 Ford
Woodie Model A, which will be completed in late 2006. Check
the web site for photos of the engine as it is built at DWRPI.

Here we grow again. Doug Wright Racing assumes an additional
3500 sq. ft. of work area where a a paint booth and preparation
room will be placed. DWRPI's shop is now over 8,400 sq. ft.

Wagner Racing orders a new Beast pavement midget for the 2006
racing season. The Wagners will compete in the National
midget series in '06 with cars and equipment prepared by DWRPI.
September, 2005
Nick & Brandon Wagner (race cars prepared by DWRPI) are invited to compete in the USAC Ford
Focus National Championship races to be held at Lima (OH) Speedway
and Anderson (IN) Speedway. Brandon Wagner finishes 2nd in
the pavement portion (Anderson, IN) of the National Championship
race and Nick Wagner finishes 6th in the event's B-Main.
August, 2005
Mother Nature was the only victor at Bonneville's Speed Weeks.
In an unusual set of circumstances, the salt dried in a very
rough, washboard-like state, preventing cars from racing at full
speed. The event was cancelled after three days. Rex
Wright made a single pass, but was forced to "shut down" at just
over 200mph due to the rough surface. The Wright's plan to
return to Bonneville in August of 2006 to continue their quest for
the C/GALT land speed record.

begins on a 1965 Chevrolet Corvette for a customer in Racine,
Wisconsin. The car will require a complete driveline rebuild,
including brakes, engine, and suspension. The 'Vette is scheduled
to be completed in mid-summer.
